Terms and Fees Guide
Tuition Payment
Payment Policy:
Tuition is to be paid in advance, either on a monthly basis or by term/program registration, and must be submitted before the first lesson of each billing period.
Payment Methods:
Tuition can be paid via Interac e-Transfer (for Canadian residents) or cash. For detailed e-Transfer instructions, please contact the front desk.
Late Payment Fee:
A late fee of $15 may be applied if payment is delayed more than 7 days past the due date. In cases of prolonged non-payment, lessons may be put on hold until the balance is cleared.
Lesson Rescheduling & Make-up Policy
Notice for Schedule Changes or Cancellations:
If you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson due to personal circumstances, you must notify the front desk or your instructor at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time.
We recommend using a method that leaves a clear record (e.g., phone call, text, or email).
This policy helps ensure efficient instructor scheduling and allows the possibility of offering the time slot to another student if needed.
Make-up Lesson Eligibility:
Make-up lessons may be arranged once per month only for lessons that were canceled with at least 24 hours’ notice. The new date must be coordinated with your instructor.
Please note: make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled again.
Cancellations Within 24 Hours / No-shows:
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, or no-shows without prior notice, will result in the lesson being forfeited. These lessons are non-refundable and not eligible for make-up.
Instructor-Initiated Cancellations:
In the event a lesson is canceled by the instructor or the studio due to unforeseen circumstances, a 100% make-up lessonwill be offered, or the lesson period will be extended or carried forward accordingly.
Additional Fees
Supplies:
Students are responsible for purchasing their own consumable items, such as instrument maintenance supplies (e.g., guitar strings, drumsticks, etc.).
Event Participation Fees:
A small participation fee may be required for certain events, such as recitals, showcases, or special workshops. In such cases, detailed information will always be provided in advance.
Exam Fees:
If a student wishes to take external exams (e.g., RCM), the examination fees charged by the external organization are the responsibility of the student and are not included in studio tuition.
