Studio Policy
At Byulnamu Music Studio, we are committed to providing every student with the best possible learning environment and an enjoyable musical experience. We kindly ask that all members respect and follow the studio policies with consideration and mutual respect.
Lesson Registration & Attendance
Registration and Schedule Confirmation:
All lessons are scheduled based on a fixed time slot, confirmed through consultation and official registration. The final schedule will be arranged in agreement with the instructor.
On-Time Arrival:
To ensure smooth lesson flow and proper preparation for the next class, students are asked to arrive at least 5 minutes before the scheduled lesson time.
Tardiness Policy:
If a student arrives late due to personal circumstances, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time.
This policy respects the time of other students and instructors.
Make-up lessons or time extensions will not be provided for time missed due to lateness.
Lesson Rescheduling & Make-up Policy
Notice for Changes or Cancellations:
If you need to reschedule or cancel a lesson due to personal reasons, you must notify the studio front desk or your instructor at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time.
We recommend using a method that leaves a clear record (e.g., phone call, text message, or email).
This policy allows instructors to manage their schedules effectively and may offer available time slots to other students in need of make-up lessons.
Make-up Lesson Eligibility:
Make-up lessons may be offered once per month, only for lessons canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice. The make-up date must be arranged directly with your instructor.
Please note: once scheduled, make-up lessons cannot be rescheduled again.
Cancellations Within 24 Hours / No-shows:
If a lesson is canceled less than 24 hours in advance or missed without notice, it will be considered forfeited. No refunds or make-up lessons will be provided in such cases.
Instructor-Initiated Cancellations:
If a lesson is canceled due to instructor availability or internal studio matters, we will either provide a make-up lesson at 100% or extend/carry forward the lesson period accordingly.
Studio Etiquette & Facility Guidelines
Quiet and Considerate Behavior:
To maintain a focused and respectful environment for all students, please keep noise to a minimum in shared areas such as hallways and the lobby. We kindly ask everyone to act with consideration toward others.
Instrument and Equipment Use:
All instruments and equipment in the studio are shared resources. Please handle them with care, and ensure everything is returned to its proper place after use.
Damage to Property:
If any instrument, equipment, or facility is damaged due to intentional misuse or serious negligence, the responsible party may be held accountable for repair or replacement costs.
Food and Drink Policy:
To help keep the studio clean and comfortable, no food or drinks are allowed inside the premises—except for bottled water with a secure lid.
Safety & Parent/Guardian Guidelines
Safety First:
At Byulnamu, the safety of all students—especially minors—is our highest priority.
Arrival & Dismissal:
For the safety of minor students, we strongly recommend that a parent or designated adult accompany them to and from lessons.
Please note that parents/guardians are responsible for the student’s safety before and after class.
Personal Belongings:
Byulnamu is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings, including instruments, bags, or valuables. We ask that all students and parents take extra care in managing personal items.
Parent Observation:
If a parent wishes to observe a lesson, this may be allowed only with prior approval from the instructor and must be scheduled at a time that will not disturb other students’ lessons.
Photo/Video Consent:
Photos or videos taken during academy activities (e.g., recitals, ensemble classes, events) may be used for promotional purposes (website, social media, etc.) with prior consent from the student or guardian.
If you prefer not to have such materials used, please notify the studio clearly during registration or in advance.
